My baby girl turned one yesterday & it still hasn't registered!  How did a whole year go by?  Where is my tiny baby?!  I still look at her a hundred times a day & can't believe she is here & fall in love with her more & more.  As much as I miss my little tiny nugget, I love the toddler she is turning in to.  Adelyn is such a happy carefree little girl & she bring her daddy & I (and anyone around her) so much joy.

We had are super huge birthday party & it was so much fun!  My friend w/the twins due the same day she was, made her a vegan cake so that she was able to partake in her own birthday sweets & she loved it!  Everyone else got to eat a delicious chocolate cake we got from Costco that we decorated ourselves.  Was so surprised how good it was.
However she really seemed to enjoy her little cupcake just fine.

She is spoiled rotten & got more than enough gift from everyone.  Grandma & Grandpa (my parents) paid for the party thank goodness & Nani & Papa (Josh's parents..duh) bought her a wagon that she LOVES!  She took a ride in it with her friend Ayla (one of the twins) as soon as Papa took it out of the box.

There were 7 babies there between the ages of 10 weeks & 13 months & it was great!  Babies galore!  Just the way I like it!  After a very long day & tons of stimulation, Adelyn slept like a charm & didn't make a peep until 7am!  Woot Woot!  Now everyone who came in to town has left & we are slowly getting back in to the swing of things.

On the nursing front, last night was my last breastfeed & I cried like a stinkin' baby after putting her to bed.  I really handled dropping the other feedings fine, but the nighttime one is definitely both our favorites.  I don't think tonight will go smoothly like all of the other feedings & I'm definitely dreading it.  Haven't decided if I was going to stick with the sippy or give her a bottle.  I know many of you may be thinking that if I am so attached why not continue.  The short of it..PIZZA!  The long of it:she is still dairy free & I'm starving.  So please say a quick prayer that her & I are able to get through dropping this last feeding & find something that works for us.

Wednesday, we finally go to the ortho to see about getting Adelyn special shoes with inserts.  The physical therapy is going well but not showing enough improvement.  She is finally walking forward when you hold her hands which is a huge step.  But it seems to be making her feet worse.  Hopefully once we go to the ortho things start progressing better.

Other than that things are going really well.  Hubby & I are discussing when we will TTC again & sometimes I feel like I want to start now, while other times I freak out at the idea.  We'll just keep praying about it & see where God leads us.  Anyone else thinking of this or am I just nuts???

Hope you are all doing well.

Well, seeing as how I'm already pregnant, the TTC thing isn't nuts. ;)

Happy birthday to your little girl! And, way to go on a year of breastfeeding! Not only breastfeeding, but breastfeeding while avoiding lots of food. That's amazing!

Oh Dawn! It seems like yesterday that you were walking miles on the beach protecting the turtles!!! And now its first birthday time...unbelievable!

She is beautiful! And those pictures are priceless :) Happy First Birthday sweet Addy!

As for the trip to the ortho, I wish you much success and progress :) We've been going to a pedi ortho ever since Lleyton was born and his Dr. is amazing! With him being breech we have to make certain he doesn't have him displaysia. So far, so good, but we can't be too precautious. Keep us posted.

    BIG HUGS
ps as for trying again....that thought is in our heads too, not any time soon, but with my issues we need to head to the RE sooner than later. Around Lleyton's 1 year mark. And I can't even get my head in that direction given our journey. I suppose God will lead the way :)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! Happy 1st Birthday Addy!!! I seriously can't believe that she is 1 but I am so happy to have been there during your pregnancy and sharing our motherhood ups and downs. I am so thankful to God for blessing your family with such a precious little girl. I am so proud of you for making it 1 year of bf'ing, especially considering all of the foods that you gave up during this time. That first taste of pizza will probably be the best pizza you've ever had :) take a pic! Hope the treatment that the Dr. Has for Addy's feet help reverse the current state. Always praying for you guys!

She's gorgeous, Dawn. Hoping E will keep a bow in her hair for her party too. She loves to pull them out! :)

You're not crazy at all for thinking about TTC again. We're in the same boat - truly, I was ready to start a few months ago - but for us, we swing back and forth between "SHOULD we or should we not have another?" Ugh. The threat of miscarriage is definitely a factor.

I hope that Addy's legs/feet keep improving. Before you know it she'll be running around with the rest of the crazy kiddos! :)

Yay! Addy turned 1! Isn't crazy how a year passed by so quickly? I'm going to write a post hopefully today or tomorrow on Maddie's bday too. It's been awhile since we posted. Looked like a fun filled party! :)

Happy Birthday Miss Addy!! And Happy Birthday Mommy as well! When my birthday passed this year, after having Ella, I called my mom to wish her Happy Birthday as well, recognizing that this day is probably just as big for the mother as it is for the child. Let us know how cutting out the last feeding goes--for both of you. We're not quite there yet, but I know that I'll be really sad when it's time to stop. But I'm totally looking forward to your PIZZA update. :) Praying for her little feet!
