Wow it's been a long time since I've posted last. Thanks a ton for all your kind/supportive words on my last post about breastfeeding. I ended up going to a lactation consultant (twice) and learned I have something called Raynaud's Syndrome. It's when the blood vessels spasm or constrict & is quite painful. She believes it is the reason behind the constant clogged ducts & is definitely why I'm always grasping my boobs in pain. But things have gotten SO much better & I am very proud of myself for sticking it out. I've put things into prospective & now take BFing one day at a time. About those clogged ducts...went to the LC when I had two in one boob that just wouldn't go away. She took a needle to them (eeek!) & when she finally got it I shot milk all over the place like a dang fire hose!! It was the craziest thing ever!!! It wasn't like a thin little stream either! It was nuts! After shooting out like an oz Addy fed & when we weighed her afterwards she had gained 5.5 oz!!! That's how much I had in the one boob!!! And since then I've only had 2 small ones & was able to get rid of them within one feeding! While we are on the topic of BFing I also learned that I have an oversupply & the reason Addy kept having stomach issues even after I changed my diet was that she was getting too much foremilk. I never leak so I didn't think I had too much but ever since I started feeding her on just one boob at a time, her poops are no longer flourescent green & she is just so much happier. I share this info because I ended up having to figure it out on my own. After going to the LC, my midwife & Addy's Dr., no one had any advice on the matter. After going on the LLL & Kellymom site I read it & everything fit me perfectly & it really has worked! So hopefully this info can help someone else.
Outside of the world of BFing things are going well. Addy is going to be 12 weeks this Sat & I just don't know where the time has gone. She is constantly learning & I love it. She smiles & "talks" all the time & is just an all around happy baby. Daddy works a lot so she's definitely a mommies girl right now. She has been sleeping through the night (8hrs) consistently since 8 weeks old. She still sleeps in the cradle next to my bed but that is all me. I am having a real hard time moving her into her nursery for some reason. Hubby says that Sat night is the first night, so wish me luck ladies. I am so anxious about it. We have also switched over from her pre-folds to the hybrid diapers & I'm loving it!! Cloth diapers are the bomb!
Daytime naps have been a little bit more of a struggle. I started getting her to go (& stay) down but she ended up getting a terrible cold (thanks to my mom) and we kinda went backwards a bit. Today is the first day she seems to be feeling better & is thankfully sleeping alone again. But cuddle time was so very necesarry when she wasn't feeling well. It was so sad to see my happy little nugget so sad & snuffly. Thank God she is doing better.
Guess that is all the updates I have. Loving being a mom & I'm learning right along with Addy every day. Praying for all of you daily & hope you are doing well.

She is absolutely beautiful! I'm so proud of you for sticking it out with the breast-feeding. If I have problems, I hope you don't mind if I come to you with questions. You sound like a pro who knows what she's doing!
To answer your previous question about my Boppy--it's just a regular Boppy from Target. I guess the difference is that it's new, so stll totally plump. But I can imagine that they would loose their shape after a while.
Hang in there!

Addy is so gorgeous - *congrats to you and hubbs for creating such a cutie pie* ;) I am so glad you shared about your BF'ing ups and downs - Like Laura, if I run into issues - I know who else I can turn to! Good luck with moving her into her nursery :) she'll do great and so will you!

What a cutie pie!!! I know what you mean about moving the baby out of your room. It is hard! With Sam, we got a video monitor from Target and I can see him sleeping whenever I want. :) It is almost like he is still in my room and it made the transition WAY easier that when we moved Emma to her room. I loooove his video monitor. :) :)
PS. I don't know where the time goes, either. Today is Baby Sam's birthday!?!!!!

CONGRATS on still BFing after everything you have been through. Very little women would have stuck with it after all that has happened with you. That is great!
Also I totally understand about keeping her in your room. We just finally moved Kailyn to her crib after she turned 4 months. The video moniter we got for our shower really helps. I can sit there and watch her like she is still right near me.
She is just precious! Keep up the good work Mommy!♥

Aw, she is just beautiful! You are a trooper with the breastfeeding.
Glad to hear all is going well in your household. You may recall, she & my Baby C are the exact same age... she is sleeping through the night!?!?! My little one wakes up every 2.5-3 hrs to feed. Let me know if you have any suggestions!
