My baby girl is 4 months today! I was looking at some pics of her & can't even remember her being so small. She is getting so big so fast.
-Mommy recently went to an AWESOME consignment sale & got Addy a bouncer & exersaucer ($30 for both!) & she is loving them. The bouncer more. For some reason she loves to be bounced or tossed around.
-She absolutely refuses to take a bottle now. She was taking it with no problem than all of the sudden she wants nothing to do with it. This is not a good thing. I am not doing my part either to keep getting her to try because that would mean I'd have to bottle feed her & if she takes it I'd have to pump afterwards & I hate pumping.
-She is trying to turn over but is a combination of stubborn & impatient (wonder where she gets that from???). She will try, try, try but if she can't do it she gets angry & boycotts the endeavor for a day or two. So I don't see it happening anytime soon.
-She is in the 78th percentile for height (Daddy is 6'4") & growing out of her clothes faster than I can get new ones. Because of her height & the cloth diapers, clothes are kind of difficult to fit her.
-We are going to get her ears pierced @ the Dr's office when we go for her next shot on the 18th. I'm very excited about this.
-She is teething & drooling all over. Sadly this has given her a terrible rash under her chin on her neck. And I mean terrible. The other day it started to bleed. The Dr. has us putting A&D ointment on for a barrier & we are bathing her every night to avoid fungus!! WTH! The teething is also making her cranky at night & I'm hoping she's not one of those babies that teethes for months before the first tooth appears.
-We are still dealing with the swaddle!! UGH! I have tried everything but the moment she is not in it, sleep goes out the window! I've taken one arm out, tried the other arm, removed the whole thing & nothing has worked. I use a combo sleep sack swaddle (say that 3X's fast..lol) so when I take the wrap part off she is still in the sleep sack but it is still not enough. She is not the best transitioner during naps either so when she does fall asleep without it she is up crying after 45 min. If she gets out of it during the night she also wakes up crying but will fall right back to sleep if I reswaddle her.
-Daylight savings time is still absolutely screwing us over! We now wake up @ 6am every day instead of 7 & I miss my hour. I've gotten her nighttime sleep back to where it was (in bed by 8am) so now I am just leaving her in her crib until 6:30 (she's not crying just playing) & hoping this teaches her to wake up later. If it works (PLEASE LET IT WORK!) I will increase it to 6:45 then 7:00.
-Her tummy has gotten a thousand times better. There are still days when I realize I must've eaten something & she's a hot mess but it doesn't happen often. But with her antacid & me avoiding soy/dairy she is finally pooping normal & no longer in constant pain.
I'm sure there are 100 other things going on but this is all I can think of today. My little miracle is my pride & joy & although some days I feel like I'm just trying to get by, she brings me more joy than I ever thought imaginable. She smiles every time she sees me & that melts my heart!! I love my Adelyn!!!

Isn't it crazy how fast they're growing? It took forever for our babies to get here, and now they are 4 months old! I had to pull out the 6-9 month clothes yesterday! He is getting so big!
Good luck with the swaddle and the DST. I have no advice for you...just sympathy! :) I'll bet that if you just stick with it, she'll get better at sleeping. I mean, she's not going to want to be swaddled when she's 10 years old!

All the things no one tells you about :) I don't think I slept decently until my DD was around 1 yr old. :) She didn't get into a nap routine until 7 or 8 months, it was fun!
I hope the teeth come quickly too! My dd drooled for months without anything. Then she'd get 2 teeth at a time. gah.

How is she 4 months old already???!!! We need to see some new pics, I think!
Sorry about the rash and the bottle-refusing... Eliza never took a bottle, either. NEVER. :/ It sucks, but you get past it eventually and then they start using a sippy cup. You might even try getting a 4 mo+ sippy to see if she'd use that. Eliza figured out this trainer bottle pretty early on: http://iplaybabywear.com/index.php/greensprouts/feeding/bottles-cups/trainer-bottle.html

I can't blv she's already 4 months! I stare at Elliott and can hardly believe he's 2 weeks - I don't know where the time has gone! Have you tried the swaddle me blankie that has the velcro? We've been using that and it gets it nice and snug without it falling apart through the nite! Good luck and let's see some more pics!:) hope you're doing well too mommy!

Oh these spoiled breastfed babies! ;-) I know I too HATE pumping! Unfortunately I have to do it 4 days a week when I am @ work. And I know friends that say I should do it other days also to give her more bottles, but I don't. Oh well!
The teething SUCKS. Some babies handle it like nothing, not Kailyn. She just got her right upper lateral incisor (3rd tooth) and the central one should be following any day now. What a bear she can be! But I still just love her to pieces. That smile of hers just melts my heart every time.
