Today I am 18 weeks and I am feeling great. And I have received 2 awards. One from my mid-wife who used the words "normal pregnancy" to describe my pregnancy!! Hello are those not some of the most fantastic words I've ever heard??? I'll take it! The other is from Stephanie who gave me this.

7 Interesting Things About Me:
1. When I'm not being degraded at work, I protect threatened & endangered species as a biologist. I have been doing this ever since my Sophomore year at college so this year makes 13 years. The species I protect are mainly birds, the piping plover and the least tern. I consider them my other babies. Nobody likes these little fellas because they nest on the beach which results in it being closed to driving. Isn't that why we paved roads????? I mean how can you not like this little guy???
2. My husband also works in the environmental field as an Environmental Conservation Officer or what some people refer to as a Game Warden. He helps me protect my other babies as well as doing 100+ other things to protect our environment. And he looks AMAZING in uniform!!
3. I am a born again Christian and was saved at the ripe ol age of 25 after years of struggling with who I am and where I belong.
4. Both hubby and I have 2 brothers and one sister. My little sister is 6 years younger than me and is my best friend in the whole wide world!! She also looks NOTHING like me so no one ever believes we are related. We used to show our ID's to prove it but now I have a different last name so it doesn't work.
5. I have a Chihuahua named Scrappy and hubby has a Ferret named Tootsie and they are spoiled rotten. I am one of "those" dog people who like my dog better than most humans. However, I DO NOT dress him in clothes. He's a dog!
6. I am pregnant along with my hubbies sister, my college friend Jess and one of my closest friends Jenn (and we are do the same day!). It is nice to have people you can talk and share your different experiences.
7. I have an unbelievable fear of beetles! I'm talking I can't even see a picture without having an anxiety attack!! I know that rationally this makes no sense but let me tell you they scare the CRAP out of me!!
My Seven Nominations:
1. Yaya-because I see her as the foundation of this whole group. She gave me encouragment when I was at my weakest and always makes me laugh. She is going to make such an amazing mom to her little Alex!
2. Wendy-because she is so strong and remains so positive! Three tradgic losses and she still thinks she shouldn't complain! Amazing!
3. Cheryl-because I love her honesty and candidness (is that a word). Hers is one of the first blogs I found and I continue to share her journey as she gets closer and closer to her dream.
4. Christa-one of the most patient people ever. She has already sacrificed so much for the miracle baby I know she will be blessed with soon.
5. Em-who I found recently and already feel such a connection too! Her baby is due in July as well so that may play a part.
6. Lucky-another July baby momma and amazing hard worker!! She has been through so much and has worked so hard for her current little miracle. She is also another of the first five blogs I originally started reading and I am blessed to have been part of her journey.
7. Nicole-probably the person I have related to most and has often times my rock. Her journey resembles mine quite a bit and seeing that she can do it has given me the strength to pick myself up when I thought I had no reason to.

Thanks for the award and congratulations on the normal pregnancy! That is so awesome!
My dad has a career in Wildlife, too. It is because of him and all the things he did for wildlife that the outdoors are so important to me. You're right. That little bird is adorable!
I have been meaning to tell you that I bought the stroller at www.overstock.com. That stroller isn't available anymore, but they have great deals AND only $2.95 shipping!
