Ok I have been dying to post this all day!! Recently at my terrible job they blocked blogger so now I don't even have that to distract me. I have a Motorola Droid so I can read but posting is tough. Anyway....my mom, hubby and I went to the anatomy scan this morning and it couldn't have gone better! First a student (I go to a University Hospital) sonographer came in and did some measurements and she was so so very nice. The little nugget was jumping all over the place and making us all laugh. My mom never having seen this technology was just so amazed. Finally she went and got the regular sonographer who came in and checked the brain, heart, kidneys, tummy and God knows what else. As he did each one he would say looks good and I would just smile and let out a huge sigh! In the beginning he asked if we wanted to know the sex and we said YES!! So finally he's done looking and goes, "Ok let me just run everything by with the Dr and you should be good to go". So I got all frantic and asked, "What about the sex!!??". He says he looked but forgot to tell us!! Who does that??? So he goes back and shows us and says.....
IT'S A GIRL!!!!!
I just knew it!! Ever since I've been 7 weeks I've been calling her she. We thought we had a name picked out and realized that maybe we don't like it as much so it is up in the air. In the meantime we decided taht when we do pick a name we will keep it a secret until she is born. I am having a baby girl!!!! And she is healthy!! I think more than anything I am just amazed at how much God loves me!!!
Oh and I think I need to tell you ladies how much I appreciate and adore each and every one of you. Every comment I get makes me smile. And when I see new posts I can't wait to read them and make sure you are ok. Thank you for becoming such good friends!

My eyes welled up with tears as I read this Dawn! I am SO happy for you (more so that baby is all healthy) but even more thrilled that it's a baby girl! (I've always wanted a girl first hehe but I'll take whatever I get!) It must have been awesome to hear all the good after having so much go differently just a year ago.
I feel the same way re: your last paragraph - I love reading all of your comments (and the other ladies in this lil' posse of ours LOL) and I am so glad to have 'met' you too! Who knew you could forge friendships like this? :)

It's a SHE!!! Congratulations!!!! So happy that SHE is healthy and happy! That is the most important thing. I can't even imagine your emotions right now. I know I'll get to experience it for myself soon but for now, I'll live vicariously through you. haha. :) Congrats~~!!

I am so happy for you! Just wait till you start buying all the cute little girly outfits. Pink Polka dots and ruffles, you name it, baby girl clothes are the cutest. There's even more fun to come, congrats!

I think keeping the name a secret is a good decision. In my experience, if you tell them the name beforehand, they'll either tell you they hate it (not what you want to hear) or they'll take the name and use it for their baby. Much better to let everyone wait!

I got teary eyed when you said you "felt how much GOD loved you" What a special day! I love that your mom got to experience seeing her grandaughter :) You are going to be amazing parents to Rainbow Baby Girl.
