So I started my clomid on Saturday while away camping. I put it off for as long as possible because I had heard about so many horrible side effects that other women have had and I was afraid. Well I finally took it and then again on Sun and had 2 relatively brief hot flashes but other than that not much else. I continued taking them just waiting for more, but outside of being slightly more emotional and a few hot flashes, I have been fine! If it weren't for the slight bloatedness (OK I made that word up but you get the point) and twinges/cramping I feel by my ovaries, I wouldn't even think it was doing anything! So needless to say I am thrilled! Naturally I am still incredibly anxious about TTC again! I go in way too early tomorrow morning to get another u/s and blood work. Hopefully it shows that the clomid is doing what it should!
Oh and the trip was awesome!!! The weather held out and we had a blast at the Renaissance Festival eating way too much food. The only complaint was that it went too fast.

So I was doing some reading about what to expect tomorrow and came across some info that most of the side effects happen afterwards! Perhaps I've spoken/written too soon!

While I *hope* you are lucky and don't get the effects, you are correct that the effects happen during ovulation and then (if not pregnant) during your period. :(

All I had for side effects where the hot flashes, as well as a little bit of moodiness. Well, I sort of threw a tantrum once or twice! But Dave forgave me! I am glad that you are not having anytihng bad happen! And Hope you ovulate and make that baby (or two or three)....BABY DUST TO YOU!

I know nothing about Clomid (other than it worked for my mom...which is how I'm here). But I'm glad that you were able to enjoy your vacation! Take care!

well that is good not side effects so far. this was also my first cycle on Clomid. it did a number on my cervical mucus!! meaning before Clomid I had a ton before ovulation, this cycle absolutely dried me out!!
i have already ovulated and find out Thursday if it worked. *fingers crossed*
oh and it made me quite emotional but that started on my last pill and lasted a few days after i was finished.
