I know I haven't been around for a while and plan on updating about how things are going tomorrow, but right now I am asking for some prayers for a friend of mine. She has worked for me the past 2 years and we have become good friends. She is 24 and not married and found out she is pregnant in Nov. Although I understand us IFers sometimes struggle with situations like this, please understand that her and her boyfriend are doing the right thing and already love this baby so very much. She is 8 1/2 weeks pregnant but they have not been able to find a heartbeat. On Tues she started spotting and went in to make sure all was good. They saw a yolk sac but no fetal pole or heartbeat. The Dr. expressed concern and is making her wait until the 19th to go back for another!!! As this was not planned she (and I) are hoping that perhaps her dates are off. We all know how much waiting can suck and of course she is scared but trying to remain positive. Please pray that the time goes fast for her and when the 19th rolls around she will see/hear a wonderful strong and healthy heartbeat.

That is so sad. I hope the dates are off, and that the wait goes quickly.
I had the same thing happen to me last February. It was a Blighted Ovum. I hope she doesn't have the same outcome I did.
