Gods Plan Not Mine

Went in with hubby this morning for our first ever u/s!!!  Got so nervous I was making myself ridiculously sick.  Was hoping and praying I would get to see a heartbeat early, but wasn't so lucky.  However, we did see that our little one is in the right place and did more bloodwork and the numbers are still awesome!!  I'll be honest, I was hoping for twins. But don't get me wrong and I am thrilled with the little one I have.  We sat with the Dr afterwards and he said all looks good and he'll see me back in 2 weeks.  The color completely drained from my face and I think I may have exclaimed in a very high pitch voice "two weeks????!!!"  He then very camly asked if I would prefer to come back in one week and I at that point being slightly embarrased by my reaction said yes and explained that next week would be 6wks 4days which is one day after I lost my last and the reassurance would be great.  He said he completely understood and he'll see me in a week.  Once we walked out my hubby started making fun of me for how I reacted.  But come on!!!  Two weeks really???  One week feels like forever, 2 weeks as we all know is an eternity!!  So in one week I should be able to go in and see the little one's heartbeat, something I've dreamed of for a long time.
