Woke up an hour early today because of stupid daylight savings and decided to head to the Dr's. a little early as my friend was going to be there and I wanted to congratulate her in person.  Was also pleased that they saw me early so that I didn't need to use so much sick time at work.  Was about 5-10 minutes out when a kamikaze deer decided to run across a 4 lane highway into my car!!!  Praise God I saw it early enough to check the next lane, make sure there were no cars and veer into it to avoid hitting it head on!!  I hit it with my front drivers side and did some pretty severe damage to my nice new Matrix!!  Hubby is a State Police Officer so he came out and made sure I was ok and checked on the car (and the deer-it was dead).  It is drivable so I continued on to work and need to bring it in tomorrow for the nearly $2,000 in repairs in now needs.  So needless to say my morning was not a good one.

Because I over analyze everything I was convinced this was a precursor to bad numbers on my second beta.  Well they just called and it went up to 1378!!!  The only concern I have is that my progesterone went down to 24.  I know that is still a good number but it was 27.  Isn't it supposed to go up??  Now I have a very long 8 days ahead of me as my first U/S is the 10th.  They don't even have me coming in for more beta's.  I may crack under the pressure and call and ask if I can come in again this week for another beta.  Does that seem silly?  I just need some kind of reassurance.

*Update* Ok so I called the RE's office and asked for my favorite nurse.  I asked her about the progesterone and she was so sweet.  She said she could understand why I was worried but that progesterone does fluctuate a little bit and if it had really dipped than they would have been concerned.  I asked her if I could do another beta and she was absolutely fine with that and told me never to hesitate to call!  Seriously I love her!  So I go back Thurs at 7:45 for another beta.  I know it's just my nerves but anything that gives me a peace of mind at this point is fine by me.

Yikes! I am glad you are okay! I don't know much about progesterone, but at least your numbers are good!

Do you mind if I ask you a Bloggy question? I'm not sure what the deal is with my blog, but it doesn't update on the blog roll when I have new posts. How do I do that?

Nothing is silly. You can ask for another beta. What's the worst they'll do to you? Tell you no?

I'm glad you are safe from the deer incident. That is scary!

Yikes. Sorry about the deer. Car issues are so stressful and such a hassle.

Glad to hear the good numbers! Not sure about the progesterone question. I'm sure if there was a concern they would have discussed it.

I'm glad that you're okay! How freaky to hit a deer--I still remember being freaked out by hitting a little rabbit. Yay for good beta numbers! Any chance that your doctor would prescribe progesterone supplements? (I hate to say it, but I think the most common are supposetories) My doctor prescribes them for every confirmed pregnancy through week 12. God bless!

Glad your ok after the deer incident! And your 2nd is great! I was on progesterone supplements until 12 weeks and my levels would go up or down by a few numbers. Was never a big deal.
Glad you were able to do another Beta to ease your mind until next week. Can't wait to hear what your next beta is!

The deer crash must have been so scary. Good thing for those great reflexes.
